So much has happened since my last update! I really should be a lot better about updating this thing. This is really a stretch for me to do. Thank you guys for your patience and being understanding.

So now lets get into it...

Since last update:
We wrapped up the semester, with the Epistle of James a block class, taught by Kenny Kagawa, he’s a teacher from the main campus in California. It was a blast to have him and his wife out here, they really enjoyed the local cuisine, the people, wildlife and campus in Costa Rica.

Sadly the semester ended, but it wasn’t as sad as it could have been with more then half of the students returning for the up coming semester that officially starts on January 22. More on that a little later...

I was super blessed as I was able to go home to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with family. It was super refreshing to go home.  My parents blessed the socks off of me. One thing that they blessed me with was flying Mallory out to Colorado to spend Christmas with all of us.  Mostly so that they could get to know her. This also gave me the perfect opportunity to propose! So I took said opportunity and asked her first thing, as soon as I saw her at the airport. She said yes!! We are looking to be married the end of May this year. Also while in Colorado, I was blessed with the opportunity to speak at Legacy Christian Fellowship, and update and inform them on what all that I’m doing here in Costa Rica.  They prayed for me and the ministry in general, it too was such a blessing. They welcomed me warmly, encouraged me and made me feel like family, it was awesome to see the church working as it should.

After a wonderful time with my parents and introducing Mallory to my friends, I flew to California with Mallory and spent some time with her family. They had waited for us to celebrate Christmas, on the New Year’s day. Let the family merging begin! Her family was such an encouragement and blessing to us both.

Then came the dreaded farewells until May.  But, we both have the peace and understanding that this is where God has us both, me in Costa Rica, and her at home looking to get a job, planing our wedding, and spending time with her family. Mean while, Mal and I have started pre-marital counseling via Skype and email with Pastor Sam Tallmon, of Calvary Chapel of the Sierra’s. (remember this name)

Semester number two is starting. This semester will include me Co-teaching through the Pastoral Epistles, I’m picking up the later half of the class, teaching 2 Timothy & Titus. Again this is along side my normal responsibilities, of the enhancement of student life, class recordings and other audio/visual needs, and filling in where ever there’s a need.

I’m so excited for what God is going to do in and through me and the Bible College this semester! I look back at last semester and I see that God was so faithful to show up and do work! He taught me so much, really He showed me so much, He showed me what the heart of ministry is, I got first hand experience of what ministry is. A genuine love and concern for people, building relationships, truly seeking people out like Christ seeks them out. This applied to the locals and students alike, and really just in life.
