Thank you for reading, we are so blessed to have you in our lives! We know that we aren't the best at staying in touch, and much has happened since last update and so we are finally updating this blog to inform you all of Gods work in our lives as we are now Mr. and Mrs. Núñez! So lets say this is a relaunch of this blog now for Mallory and I.

Since our wedding in May, and moving to the Sierras, we have been living a beautiful adventure, and have seen the faithfulness of our Jesus over and over!
To inform all of who weren't at our wedding, it was a splendidly, beautiful day!
Everything was just right, and it was the best party we have ever even been to!!

Afterward we got to spend a long honeymoon in Panama, full of adventures and stories!

Our summer was spent living in a quaint, one room cabin at Camp Oakhurst where we were both working. It was a summer full of great friends (including Mallory’s brother) and making great memories. We also got to help lead the VBS for our church in North Fork. God really brought everything together for that, and we were so blessed to be a part of it (kids are fun!).

We then ended our summer with a trip to Denver to visit my parents, and for me to be the best man in my friend Christopher's wedding! We road tripped from there to So Cal to visit Mallory’s family and also see some  good friends. Then headed back to our mountains to start my internship at Calvary Chapel of the Sierra!  Which has been great, I’m really enjoying getting to spend time with the youth and serving along side my wife. And the church her is family.

When we got from Colorado back we had a fuzzy idea of what jobs we would be working and where we would live, but within one weekend God took our plans away and dumped new, way better, ones right in our laps! He is so faithful and we cant help but stand in awe of how much He loves us! He has put us right where he wants us and that is such a good thing! As of now I’m working as an intern at our church, but also working construction, and Mallory is working as a part time nanny for some good friends.

Teaching on James 3 tame your tongue
I got to lead my first mission trip the end of this last year it was a blast and can't wait to go back to Ensanda. We went and helped out at the  Calvary Chapel Bible College Campus in Mexico

Our life has been one adventure after another just as we like it! Not always big grand ventures but making any small task or even unplanned or unpleasant set backs into an adventure. We have made it our motto in life to:
"Keep Jesus the center, and Make an adventure out of it!"
We Challenge you to do the same with your lives!

Things you can keep in prayer for us is:

-Pray for the youth of North Fork
and for continued wisdom for leading the youth
-Pray vision and direction for our future, where and what God wants us to do next

Oh my, this last block went by fast! I have less then two weeks left in Costa Rica! Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been training people to take over what I do here at the campus, it’s bitter sweet. I’m going to miss it a lot down here, but I’m super excited for the next step that God has for me.  I really am looking forward to taking this next step with Mallory by my side as I follow God!

This weekend I got to spend it in Dominical, which is a little beach town south of the Bible college. They have a Calvary Chapel down there where I stayed with the pastor and group of guys who had come down to help out.  I was able to help out with the children’s ministry, and it was a blast!

So what is left for the semester?  Block classes, for the first week we have Dave Shirley down here.  He is the current director of the main campus of Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA. He is teaching a class called the Theology of Missions.  The last week of block classes is being taught by John Bonner, he is the director of an extension campus in Peru. Graduation is May 9th!

On May 10th a couple of the other students and myself will be heading up to San Jose. I’ll be there for a couple days, mostly helping to get the students to the airport in time for their flights, and maybe I’ll check out a museum or something.

If you could keep the students and staff in prayer that we all keep good attitudes, and continue in love to the end. As well as for a pastors conference that the campus is trying to put together this summer. Other things you could continue to keep in prayer is for Mallory and just being apart, the wedding plans, just for everything to come together.

Thanks you all for reading, and for your prayers. You are awesome! Thanks for coming with me on this adventure.

Fun with some orphans!

My beautiful betrothed, only 27 more days!!
Here is a picture of the valley, in center back, right before the clouds that San Isidro
We had a packed house last sunday!
 My view from Dominical!
My old room mate Art, is helping out the pastor down in Dominical, it was awesome to see him, and spend the weekend, hanging out and helping paint chairs with him.
Worship pura vida style, again in Dominical.

Hey friends and family, thanks for taking the time to read this, I know it’s been awhile, but thanks for catching up with me!

Last time I left you I told you guys that, we were headed off to the Guaymi Indians: This was an amazing trip, great opportunity for all of us. Our goal in going down to the Guaymi was just to serve them and the local missionary we hooked up with. The big project that we had was laying a foundation for a house, for the local Guaymi pastor to live in.   Currently this paster lives a 3 hour walk away from the village, and yes he walks!  He doesn’t have a car, but when this house is finished he will be able to serve at the church four days a week, instead of the current one day a week.  We also had activities for the kids. We presented a gospel message to whoever would come, which was really just the children and their moms. A cool story on this was that the Gospel message the students had prepared before hand was done in a narrated drama of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  After the presentation we came to find out that this is how the Guaymi pass down their history. So we presented the Gospel not only in a language that they understood, but in their own method. This just illustrates God’s foreknowledge and desire for and omnipotence to accomplish getting His word out in a comprehensive manner.

Since I last updated, I have taught through 2 Timothy and Titus. This was such a blessing for me, I learned so much. It was also a great growing experience for me. It stirred up the gift that God has given me. I have defiantly grown a lot between this semester and last, I became more comfortable with teaching, and let my personality have an impact on my teaching. I just had more fun, and a greater passion teaching this semester.

It’s bitter sweet to be done teaching here, I truly loved teaching through 2 Timothy and Titus.  Wonderful letters with a message that Christians as a whole need to hear in this day and age...

Lessons Learned From Titus:
- 2:11-14 The reason we should live doctrinal sound lives is because the grace of God has appeared (grace changes lives) Jesus showed up and we’re different, and we look forward to His return
  • 2:15 And this is the message that Titus was to bring to the church in Crete (the grace of God has appeared, and we are to look forward to His return)
  • Sticking to the gospel, Jesus Christ
  • 3:1-15 Be devoted to good works, and sharing the good news, and the restoration of people rather than wasting your time on stupid controversies, which profit nothing and no one to argue about. But as part of those good works, deal with all people under grace.
  • This highlighted section was a big message that God had put on my heart to be sharing with the students

Now that I’m done teaching it has opened the door for me to be able to spend time with
the students, just hanging out, pouring into to them, playing games, going to the gym with them. I really enjoy these times, this is when true discipleship happens, when you just live your life among the people living a doctrinally sound life.

Yesterday the next section of classes started for the students, block classes.  This is the final month here in Costa Rica.  My last day here is on the May 12. There was a week free of classes, our “spring break.”  We were able to take the students on a trip up the coast to see and experience a little more of Costa Rica.

I’m going to try to do a couple biweekly / possibly weekly updates for this final month out here! So you guys can see more of what I’m up to, for this final time here. And help me count down to my wedding! (39 days!!)

Things you can pray for me about:

This is the the Guaymi New testament, they have only had the new testament for the last 10 years... And its believed that the old testament won't be done for another 40 years... it sadly looks like the Guaymi language would be dead before it is finished

How I do my best studying... =]

You know, just preach the wrath of God on these un-expecting students!

Wave hi to my students!

So to help me just be me and let God just use me... I wore a goofy trout tie every class.

Keep these students in prayer! Pray for endurance to finish the semester here strong and for guidance them in the future, for the semester to come or in graduating.

I can’t believe we’re already a month into the semester! Time has been flying by. We have been busy with student events and outings. Our daily routine consists of morning cleaning and devotions, where we give the students an opportunity to share. Then it’s classes for the students, and after classes we give everybody a chance to do homework, then into town to enjoy being in a foreign country.

I want to thank you all for your prayers and support. My apologies for always taking so long to get theses blogs updated. I also want to thank you for taking the time to read my blog, keeping up to date with what I’m doing. I realize I’m not very good at blogging but, but I hope by reading it you can see what God is doing in my life, what He’s doing here in Costa Rica.

Like I said before, we’re a little over a month into the semester and this next week we are headed out on a mission trip to serve the Guaymí Indians. The Guaymi’s live in southern Costa Rica and Panamá. This trip is also doubling as border trip to renew our visas for another 90 days. While we are down there we will be building and adding a room to a house for a missionary pastor, and ministering to the people as much as possible. The students have prepared several things to do with the women and children. We have been told that the men will be a no show. So please keep them in prayer!

Something else you could keep in prayer, I start teaching 2 Timothy when we return from the Guaymí trip. My prayer is that God would speak through me, that I can speak with the authority of Christ. I also pray that the class be something memorable. Memorable not because they had fun or because I am funny, or awkward, but because God spoke to them.

Sunday night study is growing! Last sunday we used 51 communion cups, including kiddos, students and staff.

Here's the students on the bus into town.

Guy's trip! We took all the guys students out on a bonding trip! Waterfall, beach and 80's movie, good bro bonding time.

Here's a picture from a couple weeks ago. this last week we had to put chairs in the grass, not the numbers means everything, but God is doing a work here and people have taken notice.

Game night with the students!

Here is all the students: Starting top left, Aaron (fellow intern), Brent (returning for a second semester), Bill, Jill, Francela (a tica student, in the orange), Mari, then starting the next row going right, you have Noah (with the long blonde locks), Paul (dean of women), Vanessa (registrar), Audrey, Jena, then we have Chris (with the orange bandana), front and center we have Shavi, and lastly Veronika.

(First note this picture is not edited, God is just awesome!) Another picture of hanging out with the students at the river.

My main man in the middle is Anderson. He tico friend that has been coming to the sunday night study, and has really grown a liking to hanging out with the guy students here. He is just one example of young tico guys that have been coming over to the house, drawn by the fact we are foreigners, and our christian love. Anderson has recently given His heart to the Lord but he has a lot going on in his mind, a lot of spiritual warfare, and condemnation, for he suffers from schizophrenia, so his mind is always going. It's been cool seeing all the guys here coming along side him and just treating him like normal, and jut loving on him.

Community out-reach! (Picking up trash along the streets and at bus stops)

(Game night!)

Sweet view from the backyard of the campus house.

We had the bus to ourself for a couple stops! So students and interns decided to have a little fun on the bus.

Pastoral epistle class, Aaron's turn (1 Timothy)

Monster movie night! We all dressed up and watched Monster Inc.

Hanging out at the orphanage... And apparently I am a house, so thinks little Victor on my shoulders.

Great view of Perez Zeledón!
